About Floyd
Floyd Taylor brings years of professional leadership, workforce experience, and real-world perspective to the International Youth Initiative. His journey has included significant life challenges that helped shape his resilience, discipline, and commitment to personal growth and positive change.
Floyd spent 15 years working at General Mills, where he served in a supervisory role overseeing operations and supporting team performance. Through this experience, he developed strong leadership skills, workplace accountability, and operational knowledge within a large manufacturing environment.
Following his time at General Mills, Floyd worked for four years at Coca-Cola as a machine operator, gaining hands-on experience in production operations and team-based work environments.
Through these experiences, Floyd developed strong skills in leadership, teamwork, discipline, and problem solving. His background allows him to connect with young people in a genuine way and share lessons about perseverance, responsibility, and making positive life choices.
As a member of the International Youth Initiative leadership team, Floyd is dedicated to mentoring youth and helping guide them toward productive paths that lead to opportunity, stability, and long-term success.
